Ronnie Fieg partners again with ASICS for a colorful summer shoe “Oasis”
Ronnie Fieg, founder of KITH, delivers again, this time with a rework on the GEL-KAYANO 5 OG. A shoe that has been slept on for around 20 years now. Fieg is able to breathe new life into this classic silhouette, utilizing a blank white canvas and splashing it with bright, tropical colors.
The shoe sports a typical ASICS design, incorporating leather but relying heavily on mesh and suede, it should be very breathable. Which would make this collaboration a dope summer shoe. Which is what I believe Ronnie Fieg inteded to portray by placing the shoes in the sand and labeling the shoes “Oasis”.
This isn’t the first time Ronnie Fieg has collaborated with ASICS either. With a lot of hype surrounding a good number of his collaborations, Fieg has pretty much been at the edge of the retro runner trend.
