Jay Rock's latest single with top dog features consisting of Kendrick Lamar, Future, and James Blake. The team displays their diverse styles, while discovering more contemporary styles of rap. With Kendrick Lamar and Anthony Tiffith directing the soundtrack for Marvel's upcoming film  Black Panther, we are delivered with King's Dead.

Following K. Dot's opening hook, which sets the tone for the song, by ordering you to miss him with that bullshit, you ain't really hard you's a tourist. We are given Jay Rock's verse, not only was his verse smooth, hip, and groovy, but it was a good display of how his upcoming project 90059 will go. Jay goes in with a constant barrage of lyrics that are a perfect combination of hype, and bars. Where Jay shows his skill along with steez as he delivers lines where you feel obligated to get live to.

Future then takes the reigns to provide us with a verse and bridge, performing with a style that is more unorthodox than what Future has previously released, demonstrating his ability to crossover. While also sounding like a possessed murdering doll, and somehow he pulls it off. It works well to break up the song and give way for James Blake to come in with a brief transition to Kendrick's momentous verse, where he collapses everything the song had been building up to. Finishing the song by reminding you that he's Not your baby, not your equal
Not the title y'all want me under. All hail King Killmonger.
